This registration is for participants who wish to receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for attending a CrossFit Kids course.
CrossFit offers a course for those interested in the specifics of teaching CrossFit Kids to children and adolescents. The purpose of this course is to learn child-specific cues for foundational CrossFit movements, scaling, progressions, and drills. Other topics covered in the course include neurological development as it relates to exercise, weight lifting, health and safety, programming, teaching styles, class structure, and kids games. Throughout the course, participants learn how to pair fitness with fun: an essential objective to promote a lifetime of fitness.
Participants also learn techniques and methods to overcome the unique challenges of teaching kids the CrossFit methodology, how a CrossFit Kids program can help build one's affiliate, and see how CrossFit Kids is changing the lives of children and teens around the world for the better.
Affiliates, teachers, coaches, parents, home-schooling families, and others benefit from learning this unique, kid-friendly approach to teaching the CrossFit method. There is no CrossFit Kids test requirement at this time. However, to receive a CrossFit Kids Trainer Certificate, full participation in the entire course is mandatory.
