Brain and Mind 

Examines the relationship between the brain, and how the brain produces behavior. Intended for non-majors, this course will review basic neuroanatomy and physiology, and consider mind/brain relations in the context of psychoactive drugs, brain development, neurological disorders, sexual behavior, and cognitive abilities such as language, memory, thinking, and consciousness.

Also offered as BIOL 348. Students may not receive credit for both.

May not be counted toward the Psychology Major or Minor.

Enrollment restricted to students who have completed the Lower-Division General Education requirement in Life Science (B2).

Note: Matriculated students MUST register using their MyCsusm portal. 

Non-matriculated students: This class has 1 or more pre requisites. In order to add this class you will need to bring documentation ( ex: unofficial/official transcript) showing you have completed the course pre-requisites or the equivalent to Extended Learning for review. If it is determined you meet the requirements to enroll in this class you will be given a pre-requisite waiver form and permission number.
