Interdisciplinary survey of global issues including development, globalization, democratization, religion, culture, and the environ ment. Strong emphasis on the nexus between local and global processes, the roles played by nations and non-governmental organizations in global affairs, and the interaction between economics, politics, and culture in the international system.
